Lowry Dominates Irish Open, Takes Four-Shot Lead into Final Round

Lowry continued his impressive form into the third round, carding a five-under 65 to extend his advantage to four shots. Despite briefly being caught by Denmark's Jacob Skov Olesen on the front nine, Lowry regained control with an inspired display on the greens. He notably one-putted every green on the back nine, securing three birdies and six pars. Reflecting on his putting, Lowry stated, "I'm normally the one watching other people do it, so why not me sometimes. I'm seeing my lines well and starting the ball where I want and they're going in and hopefully that stays that way for another 24 hours."

Lowry, who won his home Open as an amateur in 2009 and claimed his only major at Royal Portrush seven years ago, expressed his enjoyment, saying, "I had so much fun out there on the back nine. The crowds were incredible. They cheered me on the whole way home and hopefully will do the same tomorrow. I'm looking forward to tomorrow. Final group, leading my home tournament, it's a nice place to be and it should be fun."

Heading into the final round, Lowry sits at 16-under 194. He is currently priced at -105 (Betway) to secure the victory. Jacob Skov Olesen remains his closest challenger at 12-under, with his odds listed at +650 (Betway). Joaquin Niemann is in third place at nine-under, while Daniel Rodrigues and Tom McKibbin are tied for fourth at seven-under, highlighting a competitive chasing pack for place finishes.
