2026 U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills: Early Field and Odds Outlook

Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in Southampton, New York, will host the U.S. Open for the sixth time from June 18-21, 2026. This marks the 126th edition of the national championship, where a new victor will aim to join an exclusive list of past Shinnecock winners, including James Foulis (1896), Raymond Floyd (1986), Corey Pavin (1995), Retief Goosen (2004), and Brooks Koepka (2018).

Among the early discussions surrounding the event, Scottie Scheffler is a prominent figure. Having secured victories at last year’s PGA Championship and Open Championship, Scheffler could be pursuing a career Grand Slam at the 2026 U.S. Open. Adding to the narrative, the final round of the tournament coincides with his 30th birthday. Scheffler, a top player in the current golf landscape, is presently available at -148 (Pinnacle).

The qualification process includes Local Qualifying rounds, which were conducted over 18 holes at 108 sites across the U.S., along with one site each in Canada and Mexico, from April 20 to May 18.
